:faint: More pink... :) Obviously some water droplets on a flower petal. I haven't done one of these in a while. I titled it "Bivalve" because it sorta looks like a clam or an oyster...

This picture really caught my eye - I think it's incredibly beautiful and absolutely stunning, yet the subject matter is totally abstracted. The fact that you can't immediately determine what you're looking at is a plus here. It almost comes across as a commentary on the phrase "stop to smell the roses," since the image isn't instantly recognizable as a flower because we've never looked at it like this before. For this, I allot points for vision.

As far as originality goes - while I've definitely seen close ups of flowers before, none of them were really abstracted like this. Most of the piece is actually blurred with very little detail; it's rather reminiscent of a brush stroke. Part of this also goes into the category of technique, which I think you got down perfectly here. I absolutely love the composition, I can't find anything wrong with it, and the color contrast is just wonderful.

Where impact is concerned, it's clearly got some since I felt very drawn to this picture. When I look at it, I almost feel like it's moving me along. In some ways, it just feels good enough to be edible.
